EUR07: Genesis Romanes

Short update.

Thanks to an anonymous tip from my dad, I hear that Genesis would be playing a free concert in Rome. Since the opportunity to see Genesis, in concert, for free, in Rome, only comes around 5 or 6 times in one’s life, I jumped at this opportunity.

They played in the Circo Massimo, which most of you will recognize as the place where Charlton Heston staged a thrilling Roman chariot race in “Planet of the Apes II: Beneath the Planet of the Apes.” The walk back from there has totally wiped me out (forget the fact that I got there at 19h and the concert finished at 23:45, and standing still for almost 5 hours hurts). But in short: the show rocked. Phil Collins does not look a day over 75, which makes sense as he is quite a bit younger.
